Company Description
The Midsouth Grain Inspection Services (MGIS) is a USDA designated agency for multiple territories including parts of Tennessee. Started in 1905 under the Memphis Grain and Hay Association, MGIS is an official agency that samples and grades most grain commodities. MGIS takes submitted samples and also travels to on-site locations to sample lots officially. MGIS offers mycotoxin testing that consists of Vomitoxin, Alfatoxin, and Fumonisin. MGIS has grown to cover all of Arkansas, Mississippi, Southwest Tennessee, and Southeast Texas. Currently we are under service agreements with other official agencies like ourselves to cover the northern part of Alabama, more of the central counties of Tennessee, as well as Central Texas. You can find the MGIS fee schedule on the AMS-USDA website at (https://www.ams.usda.gov/content/midsouth-grain-inspection-service) for all service location other than Texas.
